Hi, I am Hillary Valentino, M.A., CCC-SLP! I joined The Therapy Collaborative in June 2024. I always knew I wanted to work in healthcare, particularly with a career that offered one-on-one time to work with patients and families. I completed my Bachelor’s and Master’s in Speech and Hearing Sciences at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign where I conducted research on augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). I then completed my Clinical Fellowship providing outpatient services at Easterseals in Joliet, IL and working with children with complex medical needs at Marycrest Early Childhood Center. From there, I moved to Saint Paul, MN to take a role at Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare, a world-renowned facility known for providing innovative pediatric care, where I provided outpatient and inpatient therapy and served as the AAC team lead. During this time, I also gained rich clinical experience by providing ICU care and inpatient rehab at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, MN that affirmed my desire to work in an acute care setting. I secured an inpatient position at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago specializing in pediatric dysphagia, AAC, and cognitive-communication disorders. I am excited to bring my experience and passion to The Therapy Collaborative, where the focus is to provide children and adolescents with therapy services in a creative, challenging, and meaningful way! When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband, daughter, and dog! We love to get outside and play together, cook (and eat!), have adventures, and travel! I look forward to meeting you!
